do I have to pay washington state sales tax if I’m a montana resident?

I live in Montana where there is no sales tax…I am looking into to purchasing a new boat in seattle wa…I will have the boat licenced in montana and I will be using the boat in Montana, but will I have to pay the sales tax in washington?

normally when we buy out of state (I live here too) if our purchase is over $50 we don’t have to. But I would call your local Clerk and Recorder Office and ask them to be sure.

The simple answer is if you go there to buy it yes…if they ship it to you it is their problem.
